The New Regime's debut album, COUP, will be released in less than 2 weeks from now on November 18th 2008. If you would like to help out please do the following: 1) Go to http://www.thenewregimemusic.com/TNRcoupflyer.pdf 2) Print the flyer...the more the better 3) Cut them. 4) Pass out at school, shows, events, leave a stack at record stores, any where you think people who would like The New Regime would hang out. 2 Weeks and Coup is out. Check out the album cover and new mixes of "Order Restored", "The Collapse", and "Haunt My Mind" on myspace. There will be tons to come including ways for you to help spread the word. Now is the time to make it count! I can't wait for you guys to hear the album in its entirety.

I've received messages asking if a physical CD will be released and the answer is no...for now. If you haven't figured out how to buy albums digitally, I would be honored for Coup to be your first! All files are HIGH QUALITY.

The time has finally come to properly release an album. On the 18th of November, The New Regime album entitled Coup will be released digitally via itunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, eMusic, and others. All the songs have been remixed and mastered and there will be 3 tracks that have not been heard. Over the next couple weeks we will be previewing tracks via myspace. Greetings New Regime,
I come to announce our first 3 shows. These shows will be in Southern California with some friends from Mexico called Allison. For those not in Southern California, the shows may or may not be videotaped depending on how well the show went. We will be printing up some shirts for the shows and will put them up online soon. Here are the dates:

You may be asking yourself...How is Ilan going to play and sing everything live? The fact is I have put together a supergroup of bands I like that I know. In it will be Chris Lewis (Denver Harbor/FenixTX) on guitar, Mike Frey (...students/The Transit War) on bass, and Hayden Scott (Sub Rosa) on drums. I'll be singing and playing guitar/piano. If you haven't heard of any of these bands, I highly suggest you check them out!

As far as news is concerned, this is the last song I'll be posting until the full-length album is complete and released. I have to keep a few surprises for you all don't I? So as many of you know, I’m back from the UK. Since then, I’ve been writing some more songs and have decided to ditch the EP idea and just go for a full length. I’d like to arrange some sort of online release ASAP, but of course I’ll keep you all informed with the news on that one. As far as the new song is concerned, it’s called "All These Changes" and is once again a little different. It takes you up and down so it should fulfill most of your musical needs. Go check out the latest song i just uploaded. its called "tap dancing in a minefield". The song is even spiffier than the title, believe it or not. Its the most rockin song so far and possibly the most different. Enjoy and let me know what you all think!

It's about time, so there's the new song called "Somethings" up on The New Regime Myspace. Like I said earlier, its very different to the music you've heard so far, so hopefully you enjoy it. Hey people,
Looks like we are nearing the quota for the next song on myspace. This means ONE song will have to be taken off the player to make room for the new one. The fine folks at MEGALOLZ.com have set up a poll so that you can vote. I know its going to be tough since you love all the songs but a new song will fill that void. Get to voting and more importantly keep spreading the word! Tell 10 people a day, post bulletins, IM people, post on message boards, anything you can do!

As I have said in previous bulletins, The New Regime's first week was a success. But now we're on to week two and I've uploaded a new song for you all called "Haunt My Mind" to The New Regime Myspace. If you think waiting an entire week for a new song is a pain in the ass, well here's something we can do about that. Each week I'll set a quota for either total plays or friends, and once those quotas are met, I'll immediately upload a new song. How those quotas are met is up to you! There will only be three songs up at a time, so it'll be up to you once again to decide which song gets booted off when it's time for a new one. Thanks to the fantastic people at megalolz.com, there will be a poll/discussion thread in due time. Let's be bold here and set the quotas at either 20,000 total plays, or 2,000 total friends. Considering how great last week was, I'm pretty confident that you can all make either of these (or both) happen! Get creative and spread the word any way your clever minds desire. I am more than pleased with EVERYTHING regarding The New Regime. The plays, the adds, the comments, the messages, everything has been perfect so far. I don't want this to lose momentum so I hope that everyone can keep up the great work and continue listening to the songs, sending bulletins, and spreading the word any way you know how. The more plays and positive feedback, the quicker I can put up some more songs. In the upcoming weeks I'll be putting up banners, icons, and other cool tools to help spread the word.
